Editorial Review:

Product Description:
Chic, simple. Canon looked to the very first ELPH for inspiration when designing the PowerShot SD1000 Digital ELPH, and came up with a quintessential iteration of the icon: slim, clean-lined and fully flat. Inside, the SD1000 Digital ELPH looks only to the future: 7.1 Megapixels, a 3x optical zoom and advanced DIGIC III ensure top-quality images, while focus is fast and sharp and red-eye is automatically corrected. The large and more colorful LCD screen now has a tough, anti-reflective coating that makes it as durable as it is beautiful. Shutter Speed - 15-1/1500 sec.; Long Shutter operates with noise reduction when manually set at 1.3-15 sec. Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Love This Camera
I had a Canon PowerShot SD450 before this one but I broke that one so I purchased this one. It takes good quality pictures, has features for creativity (B&W, Sepia, etc), and the preview screen in the back is large so you can see what you're taking a picture of very well. Some digital cameras have tiny preview screens which I hate - but this one is excellent in size. It also is easy to use & navigate, doesn't have a very long delay between pushing the button and the picture. It can focus on up to ... Read More

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Not the best.
I am very disappointed that this camera doesn't have cropping features.I had a kodak before and I was able to trim my pictures and printed.Everybody were impressed how I was able to get close things when I took the pictures.I think that's something that all cameras should have. None of the Canon cameras have this feature.Better go with a Kodak M-1033 or a Sony.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great camera...easy to use.
For compactability this is a great camera. It takes great pictures and is easy to use. It easily fits into a shirt pocket and/or purse.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - I love this camera
its small enough to bring anywhere and the battery lasts a really long time. I was able to fill 6gb of sd cards with tons of pictures and videos and it still had battery life left over.

The picture quality and video quality are also very good

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Great until the lens jams.
I enjoyed this camera until the lens jammed. I tried all the techniques used by other people who had the same problem to no avail. If a tiny grain of sand gets stuck around the lens or if you drop it from a height of 4 inches this camera my not survive.
